With access to the Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center, students enter a world of intelligent, thoughtfully worded discussion centering on key issues of our time. Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center is the premier database covering social issues such as gun control, genetic engineering, abortion, censorship, endangered species, and terrorism. It brings together viewpoint articles, contextual topic overviews, government and organizational statistics, biographies of social activists, court cases, profiles of government agencies and special interest groups, newspaper and magazines articles, as well as links to more than 1,800 reviewed and subject-indexed web sites. Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center takes its name from the renowned Opposing Viewpoints print series published by Greenhaven Press, an imprint of the Gale Group.
