Thanks for Making Our Coffee Breaks Such a Success

Every fall and spring semester, the libraries on the Denton and Dallas campuses of TWU host coffee breaks for students during finals week. Stocked with coffee--and water, fruit and other healthy snacks generously donated by Student Life--the libraries do their best to offer a pleasant atmosphere where students--however briefly--can rest, refuel and recharge for the studies that remain. This semester the libraries and Student Life were joined by Commuter Services, who graciously provided the advice, technical expertise and womanhours necessary to allow students to livestream greetings to friends and family.

During finals week of Fall 2011, through the efforts of many, the TWU Libraries had the privilege of serving a record number of students. Approximately 1,100 students took a break with us this fall--and that's a lot of coffee. We'd like to thank all who came by for giving us the opportunity to help during an important--and slightly stressful--time in the academic lives of TWU students. It was our sincere pleasure.

Please keep the libraries' coffee break tradition in mind--and look for our signs--when finals roll around again. We'll be here, coffee cups and energy bars in hand, ready to do our part to help you get through them.
