A Halloween-Hurricane Hybrid

It's Halloween 2012--and this year haunted houses and scary movies aren't the only things sending a chill up our collective spinesAn enormous stretch of the U.S. is living through the aftermath of Frankenstorm, one of the largest storms in our history.  The superstorm's effects have, like a gargantuan game of dominoes, affected Americans across the country in numerous ways.  From cancelled flights, events and classes to downed powerlines, buildings and databases--Hurricane Sandy reminds us how truly interconnected we are.

To celebrate Halloween--while remembering those in real-life frightening circumstances--we present the following.  A Halloween-Hurricane hybrid, if you will.

ON THE TWU DENTON CAMPUS

On Halloween (Wednesday, 10/31/12) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Underground Cafeteria on the lower level of the Student Union will be offering a Halloween Lunch Special.

Also from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 10/31/12 the Blagg-Huey Library will be participating in Texas Library Snapshot Day.  We'll be giving away candy and you can help by filling out a brief survey.  Try your hand at Jack O'Lantern Jeopardy--and did I mention there will be candy?  The stats you help us collect will be used to promote Texas libraries--and we all love Texas libraries.
