Using digs instead of deduction; sets instead of disguises; and serves instead of forensic science skills, the Sherlock Homies--the Blagg-Huey Library's entry in the 2012 TWU SECC Charity Ball/Volleyball Tournament--did its namesake, the library and the Denton campus proud.

Like the famous fictional detective created by author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the Sherlock Homies marshalled their skills to address the situation at hand.  All in the name of giving, Sherlock Homies teammates and library staff members Ryan Becker, Greg Hardin, Robert Hargenrater, Amber Hippard, Erik Martin, Caroline Pendleton, Caitlin Rodgers and Johnathan Wilson practiced, competed and ultimately were awarded a trophy for most points scored.  The Sherlock Homies were supported and cheered to victory by their library colleagues Sherilyn Bird, LaMargo Branch, Mickey Dudley-Russell, Kelly Evans, Lisa Galletta, Jimmie Lyn Harris, Kimberly Johnson, Connie Maxwell, Annita Owens, Kris Reed, David Schuster, Brita Stewart, Roy Lynn Tardif and Ursula Williams.

Part of the SECC (State Employee Charitable Campaign)--an annual workplace giving campaign--the Charity Ball and a Basket Auction, Chancellor's Luncheon, Pie Bake-Off and other events help TWU and the SECC raise tens of thousands of dollars annually for a wide variety of local, national and global health and human services.

The 2012 TWU SECC campaign runs through October 31st.
