Voter Registration Deadline Nears

So you want to vote in the election, but haven’t registered to vote yet?  No worries—you still have some time to submit your voter registration application.  If you plan to vote in the November general election but haven’t registered to vote yet, VoteTexas.gov will guide you through the application process.

Not sure if you’re eligible to vote in Texas?  The Texas Secretary of State’s website provides a list of criteria for registering to vote in the Lone Star State.

In order to be eligible to vote in the general election, unregistered Texas voters must mail their voter registration applications to their County Voter Registrar by Tuesday, October 9th, 2012.  No stamps?  No problem—no postage is required.

The general election takes place on November 6th. If you’re a Texas resident who dreads the thought of waiting in line, you’re in luck: you can vote early from October 22nd through November 2nd.

See you at the polls!
