Just In Time for the Holidays

Over the last two months TWU Libraries have added over 500 new titles to our collections.  Browsing Collection titles make up a considerable portion of this number, providing students and faculty and staff members a free means of winter break entertainment--right when festivities and gift-giving do their best to lighten our wallets.

Several novels by unestablished authors--such as Carol Rifka Brunt's Tell the Wolves I'm Home--have been well-reviewed and await discovery by readers.  New releases from bestselling authors (such as Jonathan Tropper's One Last Thing Before I Go and J.K. Rowling's Casual Vacancy) have also been added.  The Children’s Collection of TWU Libraries has experienced its own considerable growth and offers many options for amusing young relatives and other visitors during the holiday season.

A substantial number of e-books has been added to the collections this academic year, allowing for hassle-free reading from off-campus.  While most electronic items held by the libraries are non-fiction, several classic novels have been acquired in electronic form--including The Great Gatsby by Francis Scott Fitzgerald; Moby Dick by Herman Melville; and Gustave Flaubert's Madame Bovary.

After final exams and end-of-semester projects, many of us will finally have some much-deserved time for relaxing with family and friends.  The entire staff of TWU Libraries wish you and yours a safe, enjoyable holiday break.
