Daylight Saving Time Begins Sunday, March 8th

The beginning of Daylight Saving Time (DST) every spring (this year on Sunday, March 8th at 2 a.m.) involves advancing our clocks forward one hour and losing (in theory) those 60 minutes.  Some are affected by "springing forward," some aren't--but whether you love it or hate it (or are wildly indifferent toward it) DST is almost upon us.

LIBRARY TIME  The Blagg-Huey Library in Denton will observe normal Spring semester operating hours (2 p.m. to Midnight) on Sunday, March 8th.  The Dallas Center Library and Houston ARC will be closed that day per their normal schedules.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW YOU LOOK AT IT  Spring Break at TWU (when no classes take place but the university, including the TWU Libraries, is open) is from Monday, March 16th through Saturday, March 21st.  The bottom line?  You may lose an hour of sleep because of DST--but the time change means Spring Break will start an hour sooner.  You're welcome.
