The buttons started as a marketing effort to promote library events, with a variety of designs by library staff members. As interest in the buttons grew--with many students building collections and eagerly awaiting the next design--the Design A Button Contest was born.
Designs came in, and TWU students Cassie Green and Chloe Noorani were named Grand Prize winners. David Schuster, Director of IT & Technical Support, presented each with a certificate, a print copy of their design and a library prize pack (containing 20 buttons printed with their design and stationery, a flash drive and an assortment of other TWU Libraries gear.)
A limited number of buttons featuring Cassie's and Chloe's designs are now available, free of charge, to the patrons of the TWU Libraries in Denton and Dallas and the Houston ARC. Want one? They're available on a first-come, first-served basis, so visit your nearest TWU library today. Cassie's and Chloe's creations are cute as a button, and sure to go fast.
