#TechTuesday: Digital Frontiers Registration Now Open

We are excited to announce that the Texas Woman’s University Libraries will be partnering on the Digital Frontiers 2015 Conference and THATCamp--an event bringing together the makers and users of digital resources in the humanities--to be hosted at UT Dallas September 17-19, 2015.  Registration for both is now open here.

An opportunity for humanists to collaborate and create across disciplines, Digital Frontiers is a project of the North Texas Digital Humanities Consortium focused on the development and use of digital resources for humanities research, teaching, and learning. Established in 2012 to respond to the need for an affordable, high-quality conference addressing the emerging field of digital humanities, Digital Frontiers is a truly interdisciplinary experience. The conference brings together faculty members, students, librarians, archivists, and public historians to share their experiences using digital resources in the humanities.  The 4th annual conference will feature keynote speakers Carolyn Guertin, Professor of Digital Technologies at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology; and Michael Edson, Digital Strategist with the Smithsonian Institution. These distinguished keynotes will be joined by 37 other presenters from 20 institutions in 8 U.S. states and 3 countries. THATCamp (The Humanities and Technology Camp) is the interactive, "unconference" portion of Digital Frontiers in which the community determines the content for a fun, informative, and collaborative experience.

The Digital Frontiers 2015 Conference itinerary is available here.  The sessions on Thursday, September 17 and Friday, September 18 will take place in the Alexander Clark Center (CN) on the UT Dallas campus; and Thursday's reception and THATCamp on Saturday, September 19 will take place in the Edith O'Donnell Arts and Technology Building (ATC).  Find both on the interactive UT Dallas campus map here.

Registration for the conference is $50 for non-students and $20 for students (including lunch).  THATCamp registration is $20.  Register for either or both here.
