The Start of Something Sweet: Welcome to Pioneer Camp & TWU

The Start of Something Sweet  The Blagg-Huey Library on the Denton campus prepares to welcome
students to the Fall 2015 semester.  Free icy pops will be handed out to students in front of the building on
Thursday, August 20th from 1 to 3 p.m. in conjunction with Pioneer Camp, an annual part of orientation
festivities for students new to TWU.  Photograph by Jeremy Kincaid.  August 19, 2015.
Pioneer Camp, that annual rite of passage for new TWU students, takes place this week.  From August 20-23, 2015, new Pioneers will take part in a variety of workshops and events designed to help ease their transitions to life at TWU.

As part of the festivities, the Blagg-Huey Library on the Denton campus is setting up a special tent in front of the building where free icy pops will be handed out to welcome the new students and treat them as they make their way around campus in the Texas heat.  Look for the icy pop tent in front of the library on Thursday, August 20th from 1 to 3 p.m.  We hope you'll stop by to say hello and grab an icy treat.

To all new Pioneers--welcome.  The TWU Libraries hope Pioneer Camp is the start of something sweet as you begin your journey at TWU.
