Labor Day Weekend Library Hours

After the first Labor Day celebration in New York City on September 5, 1882, other localities began to adopt
the idea of a fall festival of parades and picnics celebrating workers.  Here, the Women's Auxiliary Ty-
pographical Union takes part in a Labor Day parade.  Courtesy of the United States Department of
Labor.  Date unknown.
In observance of Labor DayTexas Woman's University--including the TWU Libraries in Denton and Dallas, and the Houston ARC--will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2015.

All TWU Libraries will observe normal operating hours on Saturday and Sunday, September 5-6 (the Denton campus library will be open from 9a to 6p on Saturday, and from 2p to midnight on Sunday; the Dallas Center Library will be open from 10a to 2p on Saturday, and closed on Sunday; and the Houston ARC will be closed on Saturday and Sunday).  All will be closed on Labor Day, and resume normal Fall semester operating hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. For specifics, please refer to the schedules for the Denton campus library, Dallas Center Library, and Houston ARC.

A safe and happy holiday weekend to all.
