Get In The Who's Who Habit

They say not to judge a book by its cover. The same can be said for databases.

As the name suggests, Who's Who Biographies Online, one of the 200+ databases available through the TWU Libraries for the benefit of TWU researchers, is a collection of biographies of accomplished people. Less obvious? The database contains the following, making it relevant to your research--no matter the field of study.
●   Over 1.5 million current (the site is updated daily) biographies of the most accomplished individuals from all fields of endeavor--including education, history, nursing, healthcare, government, business, science and technology, the arts, entertainment, sports, and more.
●   Targeted searching based on up to 15 criteria, including name, occupation, gender, education, geographic location, and more. Enjoy 24/7 online access (the TWU Libraries no longer carry print versions of Who's Who) to the career highlights of everyone who has appeared since 1985 in a wide range of Who's Who print titles--reflecting a broad range of accomplishments, people, and countries.
●   Advanced search capabilities for locating information on notable figures in five categories: Who's Who in America; Who's Who in the World; Who's Who in American Art; Who's Who in American Politics; and Who's Who in American History (the last alone representing 400 years of biographical history).
●   Search tips and sample searches
Access any of the Who's Who search tools available to you from the TWU Libraries homepage (Databases A-Z List > W). Questions? Contact us for assistance.

Who's Who Biographies Online makes a good addition to any research plan--so you're invited to get in the Who's Who habit.
