More of us are spending time outdoors as the first day of summer 2016 (Monday, June 20) approaches, and with all that outdoor activity comes an increased risk of insect bites and the diseases they can transmit.
TWU Health Sciences Librarian Elaine Cox reports that to help you and your loved ones protect yourselves, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has compiled a guide to reducing insect bites which contains practical advice on choosing an insect repellent; using insect repellents safely and effectively; preventing mosquito and tick bites; and more.
A safe and happy summer to all.
