Pardon Our Progress

Beginning Monday, November 28, 2016, the Blagg-Huey Library on the Denton campus will be the site of some much-needed construction. As the roof replacement project proceeds, patrons will notice safety precautions (including fencing and overhead protection) in place for their benefit.

The library building (including Starbucks and the Pioneer Center for Student Excellence) will be open and fully operational during this project, which is scheduled for completion by early Summer 2017.

A Portrait of Florence Nightingale

The TWU Libraries invite you to join us on Thursday, November 3, 2016 for the grand opening of A Life Unveiled: A Portrait of Florence Nightingale. A Life Unveiled is a significant collection, 35 years in the making, of Nightingale artifacts, original documents, and memorabilia.

Following light refreshments, collection curator and TWU alumnae Tony Paterniti, Ph.D, R.N. will share details of Nightingale's story--including the impact her work has had on nursing, statistics, sanitation reform, advocacy for the sick, hospital design, and more. Guided tours of A Life Unveiled will follow.

The TWU community and the general public are invited to join us at 2 p.m. in the living room area of the Blagg-Huey Library on the Denton campus as we pay tribute to Florence Nightingale and her life of service to the sick and dying.
